Love lettar

Sujata Ji,
Nice one!!! I found another letter on the web. This one was sent to Santa Singh from his mom. Couldn't stop laughing at this...:)Pyaaaray Puttar Santa,Vahe Guru. I am writing this letter slow because I know you can't read fast. We don't live where we did when you left home. Your dad read in the newspaper that most accidents happen 20 miles from your home, so we moved! I won't be able to give you the address as the last sardar who stayed in this house took the numbers with them for their next house, so they wouldn't have to change their address. This place is really nice. It even has a washing machine. I'm not sure it works too well, last week I put in three shirts and pulled the chain and I haven't seen them since. The weather here isn't too bad. It rained only twice last week. The first time it rained for three days and the second time for four days. The coat you wanted me to send you, your aunt said it would be too heavy to send in the mail with all the buttons, so we cut them off and put them in the pocket. We got another bill from the funeral home. It said that if we don't make the last payment on grandma's funeral, she will come up again. Your father has another job. He has 500 men under him. He is cutting the grass in the cemetery. Your sister had a baby this morning, I haven't found out whether it is a boy or a girl, so I don't know whether you are an uncle or an aunty.Your Uncle Jatinder fell into a whisky vat. Some men tried to pull him out, but he fought them off and drowned. We cremated him and he burned for three days.Three of your friends went off the bridge in a pick-up truck. One was driving and the other two were in the back. The driver got out- he rolled the window down and swam to safety. The other two friends drowned as the couldn't get the gate down. There isn't much more news at this time. Nothing much has happened.Love, MomP.S. - I was going to send you some money, but the envelope was already sealed.

Love lettar line

The first 30+ minutes of "Love Letter" were quite boring, but if you ever watched the movie again, knowing how the plot unfolds, they'd be anything but boring. The premise of this is cool and a little creepy: a woman, enstranged by her husband's untimely death, sends a letter to his old address. She knows that the house was knocked down and built over by a highway years ago, but does it anyway, perhaps out of desperation. Unexpectedly, she gets a reply. From there, the story begins, and it takes a much different direction than how the plot sounds on paper. I can't really say too much without spoiling it, but this is a tragic movie, yet beautiful at the same time. There are flashback sequences that make you really care about several characters in the movie, including the deceased man (who is shown as a school boy in the flashbacks). This is so well set out, and almost brought me to tears at times. Movies like this are what make me want to see more and more Asian cinema, because this was an absolute epic.

How to start love lettar

Start your Love Letter by telling your beloved your reasons for writing. For instance: "I have lain awake many sleepless nights trying to compose words that might adequately describe the feelings of my heart. But every time I have made the attempt, I have failed miserably. Please forgive my poor effort and accept a trite and simple phrase: I love you. I think I can say it no better than that..." Never insult your beloved's feelings or belittle yourself by saying something like: "I know you probably don't feel this way," or "You must think I'm crazy." If you are timid in your Love Letter, your attempt at conveying heartfelt words will fall flat and might be misunderstood.Avoid being casual, too light-hearted, or openly erotic. A Love Letter is a letter of respect that coveys deep, difficult-to-express feelings. Don't discount the impact of poetry in place of, or in addition to, your words. Maybe your beloved has a favorite author or poet. It will be seen as a compliment if you take the time to quote someone he/she admires. Be sure to give proper credit where it's due. Don't forget the Internet is a great place to find that poem or song you are trying to quote!
Be real. Your Love Letter should be a carefully crafted work of art, but it also needs to sound sincere. You want your Love Letter to make your beloved fall in love, not fall into laughter. Be confident as you express your emotions, dreams, and vulnerability.

What is love

What is Love
Seasoned FeelingsAsk any teenager or senior citizen, “What is love?” and their answers reflect a similar influence. Love involves feelings -- romanticized by music, literature, and media. We all yearn to recreate that intimacy based on what seems so ideal. Our deepest longings shape what defines love -- fervor (passionate), flawless (perfect), and fulfillment (joy). When we express love, we develop a strong emotional attachment, anticipating our love to be returned. What do I receive out of the relationship? What’s my level of contentment? Our feelings focus upon discovering that one individual who satisfies all our heart’s desires. Sadly, what nourished and warmed our love for one season often withers and grows cold. “The course of true love never did run smooth.”1What is love if not costly? Real love demands sacrifice that can’t be found in self-centeredness. You can give without loving, but you can never love without giving. Sacrificial love requires that we give what we value most: our hearts, minds, souls, and strength. Real love does not always follow our natural inclinations; it is not an impulse from feelings. Love can only be understood from the actions it prompts. When we bear with the failings and weaknesses of others, divine love reveals itself (Ephesians 4:2). At all costs, this love compels us to give so that we alleviate the suffering of others. Instead of seeking to fulfill our emotional and physical needs (receiving), we humbly give of ourselves (1 Peter 3:8–9).

By love

MacLean, suffering from heroin addiction, soon left the band, as did all the other members except Lee. MacLean later emerged as a Contemporary Christian artist. Echols and Forssi also experienced the ravages of heroin addiction and disappeared from the scene. Arthur Lee, as the only remaining member, convened a new lineup and continued recording as Love. The reconstituted version of Love, which included Jay Donnellan and Gary Rowles on guitars, Frank Fayad on bass, and George Suranovich on drums, played in a blues-rock style very different from the band's previous line-up. Three albums were released by various permutations of this lineup: Four Sail Out Here and False Start. The latter featured a guest appearance by Jimi Hendrix. Arthur Lee released the solo album Vindicator in 1972, followed by a final official Love album, Reel to Real recorded by Lee and session musicians. Love was finally discontinued in the late 1970s, and various plans to reunite various Love lineups in the following years did not come to fruition. Lee reemerged with the one-off single "Girl on Fire"
After spending six years in prison from 1995 to 2001 for firearms offenses, Arthur Lee began to play Love's classic songs in concert by reuniting with the members of Baby Lemonade. In the early 2000s, co-founder of Love and original guitarist Johnny Echols rejoined Lee, in this line-up and performed as "Love with Arthur Lee and Johnny Echols." This reformed group toured for several years, frequently performing Forever Changes in its entirety.
Ken Forssi died of a suspected brain tumor in his home state of Florida on January 10, 1998, at age 54. Bryan MacLean died in Los Angeles of a massive heart attack at age 52 on December 25, 1998, while having dinner with a young fan who was researching a book about the band. Arthur Lee died in Memphis, Tenn., on August 3, 2006, of complications from leukemia at age 61.
In 2009, a reformed version of Love, featuring Echols (he and "Snoopy" Pfisterer are the only living original members), members of Baby Lemonade, and Probyn Gregory of the Wondermints toured the United States and Canada.

Romantic love

This article examines the ways in which romantic love was experienced, discussed, and written about by Nepali villagers in the 1990s. Love letters written by young village residents illustrate how love came to be reconceptualized during this time period as a desirable rather than an embarrassing emotion, one linked up with other achievements perceived as admirable, such as education, development and success. Because love letter correspondences were only made possible by increased female literacy rates in the village, the article also explores some of the socioculturally and historically specific impacts of the acquisition of literacy skills on gender hierarchies and intimate relationships.

start a love

To start a love affair with any one, you must need to know that person's behavior, habits and all likes and dislikes. It's also needed that, with whom you are starting an affair, loves someone else or not. If that person loves someone then leave that person. Because it's useless.
If you want to make just an affair then it's very simple, you can find many people in this world for love affair. At start you have to spend some money, especially if on the other side there is a girl, if there is a guy then you just have to give your number to him and talk with him gently and lovingly. So your love affair is started.
But if you want to start a true love affair with someone, whom you love. So check first that the other person loves someone else or not. If there is no one on the other side then your love affair can be start. Just talk to him/her in a very polite and friendly manner and try to be frank with that person. Then after sometime give her/him gifts, which that person likes. And be friendly with that person, and when you feel that, it is the right time for telling about your love, then tell that person, that you love him/her.

Love test

Love tests are important for your spiritual success and steady progress. Love tests are made to test your own love and give you feedback about your very own problems and thus allowing you to progress by working on your problems. When ever one of the love test reveals a serious problem about you - then get in peace with the object you reject.
At school we have tests and exams - to give feedback about learning progress in intellectual topics - spiritual learning and learning to truly love is in no way different from school learning with the exception that learning to love is infinitely more important for all mankind than intellectual learning. If you have a problem in loving or in accepting love - then it makes no sense only focus on love - but rather you should focus on why that problem occurred, how it occurred and if the cause is far behind hidden n previous incarnations, then you may either go trough a reincarnation therapy ( a good reincarnation therapy may easily cost up to many thousand US $ for a few sessions ) or you may practice Kriya Yoga to apply God's divine love into all aspects of your being, including all your past hidden and carried in your causal body - OR you may confront yourself with situations provoking your fears and problems and just open yourself for God AND the particular fear factor or problem factor or problem situation

The god loves

The love of God is greater farThan tongue or pen can ever tell;It goes beyond the highest star,And reaches to the lowest hell; The guilty pair, bowed down with care,God gave His Son to win;His erring child He reconciled,And pardoned from his sin"For the Love of God" is an instrumental guitar piece by Steve Vai. It is the seventh song on Vai's 1990 album Passion and Warfare. The track was voted in a readers' poll of the 100 greatest guitar solos of all time for the magazine Guitar World.[1] The piece, which runs for just over six minutes, features a number of techniques, including whammy bar tricks, two-hand tapping, harmonics and volume swells. Vai recorded it on the fourth day of a 10 day fast because "I do try to push myself into relatively altered states of consciousness. Because in those states you can come up with things that are unique even for yourself"
Vai has performed an arrangement of this piece with The Metropole Orchestra in the Netherlands, a nine minute version of this arrangement can be found on his Sound Theories album.
It is one of the songs in the DLC Guitar Hero Virtuoso Pack, available for Guitar Hero.

My comment was not meant personally — and apologies if it came across that way. What I don’t understand is why some schools make a decision on closure the day before, and others – more sensibly perhaps -- the first thing in the morning As the school was almost empty it would not have been possible for the school to follow up (as they would normally) how many were playing truant as opposed to being kept at home by their parents. As to the culture of taking a day off whenever possible – I can now see that it applies also to the many parents who chose to keep their children off from this school when it was actually open. My son told me that the teachers who had to come in were rather annoyed that so few students turned up and they ended up watching videos all day.

NEPALI YOUNG

Among the most egregious child rights violations, an estimated 300,000 child soldiers are involved in armed conflicts. Although a number of countries have undertaken demobilization and reintegration programs for child soldiers, there remains a dearth of documentation and dissemination of program experience and best practice to guide the countries. The 1996 United Nations Study on the Impact of Armed Conflict on Children, 1 backed by extensive research from non-governmental organizations, played a crucial role in demonstrating the global problem of child soldiers. Most welcome is the May 2000 Optional Protocol to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), which raises the minimum age for participation in armed conflict from fifteen to eighteen years. Determining best practice with child soldiers is an ongoing effort. And for program practitioners, it is often difficult to translate a list of best practice principles into local application. Concerted efforts and funding are needed to evaluate, document, and disseminate lessons. In addition to disseminating program experience, that of national program practitioners should also be supported in staff and program exchanges. The UN Mission in Nepal (UNMIN), that has been Monitoring and supervising the arms and combatants of the PLA, said last 2 years that it had verified the fighters and found that out of over 31,000 registered soldiers, only around 19,600 were eligible to stay on and be eventually integrated with the state army. However, there are over 4,000 disqualified soldiers, the bulk of who were recruited as child soldiers.A report by the UN secretary-general, 'Children and armed conflict in Nepal', said that the Maoists, despite signing a peace pact, were continuing to recruit minors. Initial investigations found over cases of child recruitment in September 2006.Though UNMIN and other UN agencies had been urging the Maoists to release the disqualified combatants from the cantonments; the former guerrillas ignored the calls.UNICEF has volunteered to oversee the rehabilitation of the child soldiers. However, the government still needs to formulate a policy to safeguard the future of the other combatants, who have to be discharged because they were recruited after the peace pact. The Maoists claim they did not recruit minors in the PLA, which fought a savage war against the state for 10 years until democracy was ushered in and the king toppled. The UN Mission in Nepal, that was asked to assist in the peace negotiations and supervise the arms and combatants of the Maoists, in 2007 verified the number of guerrillas in the PLA and found that almost 3,000 fighters were recruited while they were fewer than 18. Therefore, according to the peace pact, these were to be discharged immediately.UNMIN, UNICEF and its partners should have access to these children to make sure that they receive their rights to recovery and reintegration. An earlier report issued by the Office of the UN Human Rights Commissioner in Nepal had noted that some child soldiers who left the PLA cantonments to join their families were tracked down by the Maoists and pressured to return to the camps. The successful (April) elections signal that the people of Nepal are entering a hopeful phase for peace and prosperity. However, the promise of peace has not come to fruition for these children, whose lives have been adversely affected by the conflict. The envoy says that a key element of such a peace is to ensure that children formerly associated with armed forces or groups share the peace dividends and receive suitable support for their reintegration into society. There are nearly 19,000 bona fide soldiers in the PLA. A new agreement says they would be integrated into the state army within six months after the formation of a new government. Prabhakar Sharma, Former deputy commander of the PLA and a Minister of Peace and Reconciliation, promising that the process of integration as well as discharge of the child soldiers would start once a commission was formed. The commission is to include representatives from the government as well as the PLA and the Nepal Army.UNICEF Nepal, said early intervention was critical for the normal development of children employed in the conflict, even with the peace process. If Government doesn’t act now, it could be too late. Activists were planning to strongly lobby for a child-DDR process.“For a start, need to be both sides to make a public appeal that they would begin the process and ensure safe return and provisions, including free education, for these children.Demobilization, Disarmament and Reintegration (DDR) programs specifically aimed at child soldiers have been established in many countries, both during and after armed conflict and have assisted former child soldiers to acquire new skills and return to their communities. However, the programs lack funds and adequate resources. Sustained long-term investment is needed if they are to be effective in Nepal.Programs need to establish long term follow up to accompany children after they leave the Cantonment . It would certainly make sense to visit more regularly those children who have reintegrated into their communities, and especially to assist those who have started their own revenue-generating activities. This aspect is completely neglected by the operational framework when in fact it is the measure of the success of the undertaking.Reintegration is the process by which ex-combatants acquire civilian status and gain sustainable employment and income. Reintegration is essentially a social and economic process with an open time-frame, primarily taking place in communities at the local level. It is part of the general development of a country and a national responsibility, and often necessitates long-term external assistance.

LOVE IS PART OF LIFE

LOVE IS A PART OF LIFE AND NOT THE HEART OF LIFE

hi friends! This is really a controversial topic to understand.. but it cannot be commented just by hearing or seeing..it can be sensed only by experience..just rushback thro' ur life's experience and give your valuable comments. But people who have experienced it would know the real thing behind this phrase..people have not yet experienced it might support the second part of the phrase or just to escape they would say 'I THINK THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT AGE TO DISCUSS THIS'..Oh My dear friends don't ever think like that..After crossing the adolescence stage if you tell this then you still don't have the Sixth sense..its just an illusion that has been created by you to escape from reality..People who are still experiencing it will be in a dilemma between the two words in the phrase...This post was not meant to hurt someone but to seek the reality behind some sort of virtual blindness..

hey da...a good enough topic and worth discussing da but the fact of matter is love has various understandings to different people...few believe in only one true love and live for it but few others decide to move on after sometime if their love does not click....we can't fault them as well..but for me to love someone at first sight may just be natural but true love only comes through the friendship u have with that person understanding each other well...so for anyone just try getting close with whom u might think is ur right choice just share all ur feelings and if after sometime u truely feel she is the girl and then express ur love and make her understand how much she means to u...keep expressing till u convince her!!!!!..so goodluck dude!..be true in watever u do thats it!!!..

Which editor to use is mainly a matter of taste, style, and needs. Big chance that Vi is OK for---at least---the last one.
The long story is that, even though Vi is somewhat awkward to use at first, it enables fast, simple, and effective editing once you get the hang of it. (See also "Why, oh WHY, do those nutheads use A key concept in Vi is combining a certain action (delete, copy to buffer, capitalize, etc.) with a movement (go to line 25, go to end of document, go to next occurrence of "foo," go to 2nd occurrence of character "x" in this line, etc.). The action is performed on all lines or characters between the current cursor position and the destination cursor position. Vi is extremely powerful in moving around within (or between) files---Vim in particular is excellent. You can jump to a specific line, to the line where you were before jumping to the current line, to the line in the middle of the screen, to the line where you just changed "foo" into "bar," etc. You'll never have to mess with arrow keys to move around within a file. Finally, I observe that an effective Vi user simply edits files faster than Emacs people. Last but not least, you don't need a third hand (or nose) to type impossible key combinations. Don't get me wrong: Emacs is a great operating system---it lacks a good editor, though.
Vi has its dark sides, too. The biggest one is the need to step back before leaping forward when you are new to Vi. You cannot use Vi properly before knowing at least a handful of commands. This makes the threshold rather high. Vi doesn't get fast before you know 25 commands or so, and you won't be the cool dude before you know even more. Note that this is also true for Emacs. However, Emacs is much easier to use as a newbie.
Rather confusing to new users is the empty screen that stares at them when Vi starts and not being able to simply start typing.
There is no conclusion. If you are a Windows user and you are forced to work under Unix for a week: don't learn Vi. However, if you need a good, multi-purpose editor, then Vi is a very good, highly recommended choice. Invest some time and learn Vi. There are many good links on this page to get you started.
Let me finish this discussion by a quote from my dear officemate, Chris: "less is my favorite editor. Too bad it can't actually edit files."

GOD LOVE YOU

John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Author/Writer: God and The Apostle John Contextual Fact: There is, in John Ryland's Museum, Manchester, a small piece of papyrus, dated by those who are experts in this subject, about the end of the first quarter of the second century A.D. This we have seen and examined. It is a portion of the Gospel of John, and its discovery has for ever shattered the critical attacks upon the authenticity of the Gospel, for if a copy could be found in Egypt in the first quarter of the second century, then the original cannot have been written later than the close of the first century.
Read the Chapter John:14
Bible verses find a word like Jesus Loves or passage in the Bible help for Christian children
I Corinthians 13 tells us
1. God Love Is Incarnational - God entered into our world and demonstrated love in a way we could visualize - understand. We must go where young people are and where they live out their lives. This in itself will demonstrate to our young people our love for them.2. Gods Love Is Patient - We must not make impatient demands but allow young people to grow at their own pace.3. Gods Love Is Kind - We must be gentle and sensitive to the needs and hurts of young people. We must allow them to be teenagers and not demand that they be something else.4. God Love Is Not Jealous Our supreme concern must be for our young peoples growth and not that they just attend our youth program or our activities.5. Gods Love Does Not Brag and Is Not Arrogant - We must not spend our energies building up ourselves, but remember that servanthood is making the other person successful.6. Does Not Act Unbecomingly - We are not to try to act like teenagers. Teens do not want leaders who act like them, but leaders who act like leaders.7.Does Not Seek Its Own - Our desire must be to put others first. If we cannot do this then we cannot expect our young people to do it either.8. Is Not Provoked At times this becomes a great difficulty, but we must learn as the Apostle Paul in II Corinthians 2. He stated that in every disappointment he learned to use that situation to reaffirm love for the person who disappoints him.9. Gods Love Does Not Take Into Account a Wrong Suffered - Jesus suffered much wrong and rejection and we, too, must be willing to experience that same suffering.10.Rejoices With the Truth Our young people will easily see our values by what we get most excited about.11.Bears and Believes All Things We must expect the best and see people as God sees people for the potential they can become with Jesus Christ help.12.Hopes All Things We need to memorize Philippians 4:8 and recite it daily to ourselves. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.Bible Help affirmations from God is love. Gods Love Endures All Things Many heartaches will come our way, and the desire to give up and quit will often pass through our minds. But God love for us endures even our shortcomings. How can we do any less.Matt 22:36-40
Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.

YOUNG

I thought my tears would make you love me again,I thought my tears would fall on the roots of our loveand nourish it like rain.I thought my tears would pierce your heart, and help us to make a brand new start.
I thought my tears would make you feel my anguish and pain, and draw you back into my arms again.I thought my tears would flow with yoursand create for us a pool of love.I thought my tears were heavenly showerswith magical healing powers.A trickling sent from the heavens above,That would fill our hearts with joy and love.

LOVEING MOTHER

Nancy said the light burst around the archway over the Tabernacle in the Church. Jesus said, "My precious daughter I bless you, go in My peace and love." Nancy said, "Lord Jesus, do you send me away?" Jesus continued, "Write Nancy, My dearest daughter, a greeting of peace is an invitation and a blessing to walk with Me. When you walk with Me you are not being sent from Me, you are walking with the Master in harmony. Peace is harmony, peace is love, peace is serenity, peace is Me. Walking with peace is walking with Me. The more peace you have, the more you are united in Me. Do you understand, I do not send you away from Me, My peace is an invitation of My love. Seek My perfection of love and in this way you seek the fullness of Me. Thank you for writing My words. Go now in peace and love My precious daughter. Do not fear, you walk with Me." "Most Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences whereby He is offended. And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners."

MONEY LOVE

I read this book when I was down and out, desperate for guidance on how to handle money. Not only did it turn me around 180 degrees, but since I read Tarot cards and often people come to me with financial problems, I often recommend this book to my clients. I was amazed that it is out of print since everyone should read this book. Jerry Gillies lays out the fundamental reasons why people are stuck in "Poverty Consciousness", and what to do about it. I have been using the principles outlined in this book for many years, and I can truly say they work. The bottom line is: whatever you think about money is taken as the literal truth by your subconscious and it acts as the captain of your trip through life. So if you tell the Captain to steer you down poverty lane because you can't afford anything--well, duh? Quess what? You wind up not being able to afford anything. It is simple and easy to understand the basics as Mr. Gillies lays them out in this book. Warner Books should seriously think about printing another issue for all of us. Happy reading...

TEEN AGE

Adolescent psychology is associated with notable changes in mood sometimes known as mood swings. Cognitive, emotional and attitudinal changes which are characteristic of adolescence, often take place during this period, and this can be a cause of conflict on one hand and positive personality development on the other.
Because the adolescents are experiencing various strong cognitive and physical changes, for the first time in their lives they may start to view their friends, their peer group, as more important and influential than their parents/guardians. Because of peer pressure, they may sometimes indulge in activities not deemed socially acceptable, although this may be more of a social phenomenon than
a psychological one. This overlap is addressed within the study of psychosociology.
The home is an important aspect of adolescent psychology: home environment and family have a substantial impact on the developing minds of teenagers, and these developments may reach a climax during adolescence. For example, abusive parents may lead a child to "poke fun" at other classmates when he/she is seven years old or so, but during adolescence it may become progressively worse. If the concepts and theory behind right or wrong were not established early on in a child's life, the lack of this knowledge may impair a teenager's ability to make beneficial decisions as well as allowing his/her impulses to control his/her decisions.
In the search for a unique social identity for themselves, adolescents are frequently confused about what is 'right' and what is 'wrong.' G. Stanley Hall denoted this period as one of "Storm and Stress" and, according to him, conflict at this developmental stage is normal and not unusual. Margaret Mead, on the other hand, attributed the behavior of adolescents to their culture and upbringing. However, Piaget, attributed this stage in development with greatly increased cognitive abilities; at this stage of life the individual's thoughts start taking more of an abstract form and the egocentric thoughts decrease, hence the individual is able to think and reason in a wider perspective.
Positive psychology is sometimes brought up when addressing adolescent psychology as well. This approach towards adolescents refers to providing them with motivation to become socially acceptable and notable individuals, since many adolescents find themselves bored, indecisive and/or unmotivated.
Adolescents may be subject to peer pressure within their adolescent time span, consisting of the need to have sex, consume alcoholic beverages, use drugs, defy their parental figures, or commit any activity in which the person who is subjected to may not deem appropriate, among other things. Peer pressure is a common experience between adolescents and may result briefly or on a larger scale. If it results on a larger scale, the adolescent needs medical advice or treatment.
It should also be noted that adolescence is the stage of a psychological breakthrough in a person's life when the cognitive development is rapid and the thoughts, ideas and concepts developed at this period of life greatly influence one's future life, playing a major role in character and personality.

HOLY BIBLE

There been a whole lotta people up in arms about Pastor Wiley Drake and the fact that he prays the prayers that God wants him to pray. If you’re a Christian then you already know what it’s like to be down on your knees in front of an abortuary praying that the negress about to lynch her pre-born either repents or is struck dead in her when some butt-in-ski comes along and kicks you in the head. We’re used to have heathen spit on us and abuse us. But they can’t abuse our Love for the Lord who gives us the full armor of God so we may stand against the devil’s wiles.
If you’re a Christian, you prolly also had some homo protester sticking his wicked face into yours, screaming semen-scented profanities at you and whining about how “Jesuth lovesth EVerbody, even great big faggotsth like meeeeeee.” Of course, if you try to tell ‘em that Jesus love only those who love him first they get all huffy, plug their ears and start singing Judy Garland songs.

MONEY

The Wisconsin economy is on the way toward an upswing, according to Wisconsin Department of Revenue economist John Koskinen, due to the influx of federal stimulus dollars heading toward the state. Koskinen sat down with Here & Now to discuss where these funds will be spent, as well as what the future holds for the Wisconsin economy. Rep. Terese Berceau, D-Madison, proposed a new beer tax which would add another 2.4 cents per bottle of beer purchased, a measure some lawmakers say will help lower the instances of drunken driving in the state. Rep. Berceau and New Glarus Brewery owner Deb Carey joined Here & Now to discuss this bill, which is now meeting resistance throughout the state.Wisconsin schools are getting more than $200-million this year from the federal government, to support a program designed to help students from poor families do better in school. As Brian Bull reports, the number of students eligible for this help is growing…

CHRIST

Another place where you may have noticed a difference between churches of Christ and other religious groups is in the Lord's Supper. This memorial supper was inaugurated by Jesus on the night of his betrayal (Matthew 26:26-28). It is observed by Christians in memory of the Lord's death (1 Corinthians 11:24,25). The emblems - unleavened bread and fruit of the vine - symbolize the body and blood of Jesus (1 Corinthians 10:16).
Churches of Christ are different from many in that we observe the Lord's Supper on the first day of every week. Again, our reason centers in our determination to follow the teaching of the New Testament. It says, describing the practice of the first-century church, "And upon the first day of the week . . . the disciples came together to break bread ..."
Some have objected that the text does not specify the first day of every week. This is true--just as the command to observe the Sabbath did not specify every Sabbath. The command was simply, "remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy" The Jews understood that to mean every Sabbath. It seems to us that by the same reasoning "the first day of the week" means the first day of every week.
Again, we know from such respected historians as Neander and Eusebius that Christians in those early centuries took the Lord's Supper every Sunday.

CHRIST

Christ is the English term for the Greek Χριστός (Khristós) meaning "the anointed". It is a translation of the Hebrew מָשִׁיחַThe term "Christ" was a title rather than a proper name. In the four gospels in the New Testament, the word "Christ" is nearly always preceded by the definite article ("the Christ"). For centuries the Jews had referred to their expected Deliverer as "the Anointed."The term "Christ" carries much of its original Jewish meaning of "Messiah"—"one [who is] anointed" or appointed by God with a unique and special purpose (mission) on Earth. It was later in the first century that the title gradually became a proper name, and the expression "Jesus Christ" or "Christ Jesus" became only one designatio Jesus is a central figure in Western civilization.
The area of Christian theology focusing on the nature of Jesus as the Christ, particularly with how the divine and human are related in his person, is known as Christology. A central doctrine within the Trinitarian interpretation is that God took human form in the body of Jesus, "the Christ," and accordingly "Christ" is or was both fully human and fully God. Following from this association between God and Jesus, many Christians believe that belief in Jesus either qualifies them as inheritors of a special privilege or else provides for them a conceptual interface to God's being, such that translates to having a greater "personal relationship" with God. Further, these concepts of personal connection with God have claimed relevance to spiritual concepts including salvation, God's love, divine providence, and divine illumination

FEAR

The story of F.E.A.R. is presented in such a way that only a few minor elements are presented in the game's beginning, thus allowing players to experience the adventure as "... the hero in [their] own spine-tingling epic of action, tension and terror".The manual briefly mentions the player character's recent induction as "Point Man" to F.E.A.R., a secret special ops group of the U.S. government specialized in dealing with paranormal threats. The character's extraordinarily reactive reflexes are described as well, hinting that the government is interested in his abilities. When the game begins, the player witnesses a man named Paxton Fettel taking command of a battalion of telepathically controlled clone supersoldiers, seizing control of Armacham Technology Corporation headquarters, and killing all its occupants.
Now fully in control of the Point Man, the player attends a briefing held by Commissioner Rowdy Betters, in the company of his F.E.A.R. team-mates Spen Jankowski and Jin Sun-Kwon. The team's mission is to eliminate Fettel, operating in conjunction with Delta Force.
Fettel is located by means of a satellite tracking device and hunted by F.E.A.R. and Delta Force over several locations. While the villain evades capture by the special forces, the player witnesses unexplained, and occasionally life-threatening, paranormal phenomena, including hallucinations that frequently afflict him, all of which are centered around a red-dressed little girl named Alma. Laptops found in the course of the mission, remotely hacked by Commissioner Betters, provide details regarding the background story; the player learns how Fettel was raised to become a telepathic military commander, that he is the son of Alma, who is described as being a powerful psychic as part of Project Origin, and the existence of another child of Alma, who was born before Fettel.
All clues lead F.E.A.R. to believe Fettel is under control of Alma, who was locked in the Origin facility when ATC closed down the project owing to the danger the woman posed; Fettel is searching for that same facility to free his mother. The player takes the Point Man to the abandoned structure, fighting back both the clone soldiers and ATC guards, who have received orders to cover up the whole affair. When the protagonist comes to finally face Fettel, he is drawn into a hallucination where the player learns how the Point Man is Alma's first son and is thereafter enabled to kill Fettel himself. The story does not end here however, as Alma is nonetheless freed when her storage chamber is opened by ATC researcher and leader of Project Origin, Harlan Wade, who felt guilty over the company's treatment of Alma and who actually was her father. The player is then called to sabotage the structure's reactor, running a gauntlet against Alma's ghosts before the whole location explodes. In the aftermath of the detonation, a Delta Force Black Hawk helicopter extracts the Point Man from the rubble, rescuing him. While the player and the survivors of the F.E.A.R team survey the results of the explosion from the helicopter, Alma makes one last sudden appearance over the side of the helicopter, preparing to pull herself up into the cabin: the destruction of the Origin facility has not stopped her quest for revenge.
After the game's credits, the player can listen to a phone call between a mysterious senator and ATC president Aristide, which offers some further explanation: the woman considers the project under control and deems the "first prototype" (presumably a reference to the Point Man) a success.

LOVE

Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection nd attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure ("I loved that meal") to intense interpersonal attraction ("I love my boyfriend"). This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.
As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.

CAR

Without giving away any of the story, here's my take. I attended the premiere of CARS at LMS on Friday, May 26. True to Disney form, the premiere itself was spectacular. Four giant screens, live entertainment, lots of fireworks, great inclusion of military personnel, and as good of a red carpet as you can do with chain link fenced areas... This movie rates right in the middle of Pixar releases for me. I place it above Monsters Inc, A Bug's Life and Toy Story 2, but not as good as the "original", the best ever, Toy Story, and The Incredibles. Everything just looks so real in this movie. The dust stirred up when Lightning drives off, the scenery around Route 66 (well, maybe not those mountains that look like the fins of old cars). Even the shine on the clean cars looks so real. As an adult, I enjoyed the story line. I can't tell you how the kids would like it, as by the time the movie finally started, my kids were asleep. As always, don't leave your seat until all of the credits roll. Sometimes they are some of the funniest clips in the movie! You'll love them this time, as they tie back to prior Pixar movies, in a car sort of way. This is definitely a movie we'll add to the DVD collection. I really hope this movie does well since it's the first release since Disney bought Pixar. Don't go in looking for the action or adult humor of The Incredibles. If you do you'll be disappointed. Just go in looking for the "Disney always has a good moral behind its animated movies" type of movie and you will really enjoy it. Paul Newman and Larry the Cable Guy really have the best characters in the movie. And while John Ratzenberger's character doesn't have a lot of screen time, I really enjoyed him! I'll be going back to see it when it releases in theaters so I can get a better feel for the sound, as it wasn't the best in an outdoor setting. In my opinion, it easily beats the other animated movies released over the past year or so.

FATHER

The father is often seen as an authority figure. According to Deleuze, the father authority exercises repression over sexual desire.A common observation among scholars is that the authority of the father and of the [political] leader are closely intertwined, that there is a symbolic identification between domestic authority and national political leadership. In this sense, links have been shown between the concepts of "patriarchal", "paternalistic", "cult of personality", "fascist", "totalitarian", "imperial". The fundamental common grounds between domestic and national authority, are the mechanisms of naming (exercise the authority in someone's name) and identification. In a patriarchal society, authority typically uses such rhetoric of fatherhood and family to implement their rule and advocate its legitimacy.
In the Roman and aristocratic patriarchal family, "the husband and the father had a measure of political authority and served as intermediary between the household and the polity. In Western culture patriarchy and authority have been synonymous. In the 19th century Europe, the idea was common, among both traditionalist and revolutionaries, that the authority of the domestic father should "be made omnipotent in the family so that it becomes less necessary in the stat In the second part of that century, there was an extension of the authority of the husband over his wife and the authority of the father over his children, including "increased demands for absolute obedience of children to the father".[20] Europe saw the rise of "new ideological hegemony of the nuclear family form and a legal codification of patriarchy", which was contemporary with the solid spread of the "nation-state model as political norm of order.

BOY

Trouble and strife in the world of American poetry. About a month ago, the New Yorker published a (very) lengthy piece by Dana Goodyear, in which she takes to task the Chicago-based Poetry Foundation and its "businessman-poet" president John Barr. Barr is scolded for succumbing to a blatantly consumerist aesthetic as he aspires to "aspires to reunite poetry with the current of popular entertainment" in the wake of a $200m dollar bequest from wealthy recluse Ruth Lilly. Continue reading...Badge of honour ... Penguin ClassicsLeaving aside for the moment exactly what constitutes a literary classic, it's surely a cause for celebration that James Salter, one of the great American writers of the last 50 years, has joined that select group of authors to see their books appear as Penguin Modern Classics in their own lifetimes. Born in New York in 1925, Salter graduated from West Point, flew fighter jets in Korea, published his first novel in 1957, and has slowly built a body of work as widely praised as it has been little read.
The two books Penguin have wrapped in their silver livery are The Hunters, Salter's debut, and the 1975 novel Light Years, choices which give a good indication of the breadth of his talent. The Hunters is an extraordinary war novel, at once a lucidly realistic study of the daily grind fighter pilots experienced in Korea, and an existential inquiry into personal honour set against the intransigent military evaluation of a man's worth (MiGs, MiGs and more MiGs). Light Years is more ambitious in scope, spanning as it does 20 years in the lives of Nedra and Viri, from the Edenic early years of their exurbian idyll on the Hudson with two beloved daughters and cultured friends, through affairs, divorce, death and disillusionment.

DIE

The New York Times Company reported a profit of $39.1m for its second quarter, beating Wall Street estimates forecasting a loss.
Three months ago it reported a loss of $74.5m for its first quarter.
The net income was 27 cents a share, compared with 15 cents a year earlier. Excluding special items like one-time charges and the tax adjustment, net income in the most recent quarter was 8 cents a share; analysts had forecast, on a comparable basis, a 4-cent loss.
However, this does not signal a turnaround in the newspaper sector. Profitability was achieved by severe cost cutting measures and a favorable tax adjustment.
The company trimmed operating costs 20 percent from a year earlier, or by $140.5 million; $29 million of that reduction came from the closure early this year of City and Suburban, a money-losing newspaper and magazine distribution subsidiary.
“For the full year we expect to save $450 million,” (Janet) Robinson (CEO) said. “That amounts to 16 percent of our 2008 cost base.”
Ad revenue plunged by nearly 32 per cent, the steepest decline since the Depression. Revenue from online operations dropped 14.3 per cent to $78.2 million.
Foremski's Take:
Clearly, the New York Times Company cannot continue to cut costs in order to make money. It's not a sustainable business strategy. And with online revenues falling it will be forced to come up with a way of charging its online readers.
Ms Robinson told analysts that the company is "undertaking quantitative and qualitative research as to how many of our readers would be willing to pay for online content, and how much they would pay. At this time, our work is centered on a metered model and a Times membership model with special offerings."
This is not a new strategy. The New York Times had to abandon an earlier attempt to charge for content.

Adknowledge Buys Smart Rewards: Will Virtual Cash Reinvent Online Ads?
Adknowledge, the largest online advertising network, today acquired Super Rewards, a fast growing startup that uses virtual cash to engage people with advertisers. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
"I'm very excited about the promise of virtual cash," Brett Brewer, president of Adknowledge, told SVW. " We wanted to acquire the leader in this space because we think that growth is going to be very fast. And we can scale the Super Rewards technology across our entire business. We also have offices in many countries and can bring in country specific advertisers."
Mr Brewer said that Adknowledge annual revenues are about $250 million. But display advertising is becoming less effective. "We think virtual cash is going to be very big. Instead of bombarding consumers with more ads, Super Rewards allows people to engage with advertisers, it gives people a choice."
Virtual cash is a big business in the online gaming world and it is now also being used in social networking sites.
Super Rewards pays people in virtual currencies of their choice in return for specific tasks such as if they sign up for a Netflix account or apply for an insurance quote.
Super Rewards buys the virtual currencies and in turn is paid by companies as part of regular affiliate sales commision. It makes its money on the difference between the money it earns from the affiliate sales and the cost of the virtual cash.

YOUNG

Love is a strange thing. It can be the most amazing feeling in the world, or it can really hurt, but in the end love is something most, if not all of us, will face. While there are many different ways to define love and there are many different ways to love someone (or even yourself), here is a general guide to loving.

"We are very pleased and excited to announce that a full biography of Arthur Lee is currently in development and will be published in the fall of 2010 by Jawbone Books (distributed worldwide by Hal Leonard Books) under the title "Forever Changes: Arthur Lee & the Book of Love". The author is respected music historian and writer John Einarson. John's previous books include acclaimed biographies of The Byrds' Gene Clark, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Buffalo Springfield, Randy Bachman, Neil Young, and John Kay/Steppenwolf.
"Forever Changes: Arthur Lee & the Book of Love" is being developed with the full participation and endorsement of Diane Lee and Arthur Lee Entertainment Forever Changes Music and includes Arthur's voice throughout based on his own original manuscript as well as dozens of new interviews with those close to Arthur throughout his life."
Additional thoughts from Diane: I would like for Arthur's friends & fans to know a little more about all of this. Standing in for Arthur & partnering with John Einarson on the project was a decision not made in haste and preceded with much forethought. (I'm sure on both sides) For me, the decision made, I am convinced John is the one to best help tell the story of Arthur Lee and his musical legacy. I have entrusted him with this precious gift, a personal story that was important to Arthur it be told.
